In a brilliant directorial move, the opera's world is reimagined within a scientific research institute dedicated to the history of costume, weaving together past and present. The characters literally step into their roles by exploring and trying on historical garments, immersing themselves in the motives of their legendary prototypes.The beloved opera star and incredible actress, Asmik Grigorian, makes her debut as Elisabeth de Valois—the very character who becomes the catalyst for the drama unfolding within the institute's walls. From the conductor's podium, Maestro Philippe Jordan, who has captivated Viennese audiences with his profound interpretation of Verdi.
